Victorian style – Autumn wardrobe

[ro] Toamna trecuta (2015), stilul victorian a fost readus la viata de catre designeri ca Alexander McQueen, Alberta Ferretti, Miu Miu si Chanel. Acestia ne-au incantat privirile cu piese moderne caracterizate de volane delicate, maneci voluminoase, dantela si gulere inalte. Desi pentru unii, stilul victorian poate fi prea mult sau prea demodat, eu m-am indragostit de acest trend foarte romantic, mai ales pe perioada primaverii, cand vedeam peste tot frumoasele bluze si rochii inspirate din stilul victorian. Imi amintesc cum am cautat peste tot ceva care sa ma avantajeze insa nu am gasit.

Totusi, nu am renuntat si am spus imediat da unei rochii superbe care parea sa bifeze aproape toate caracteristicile stilului victorian. Imi place atat de mult si, desi e putin ciudata si nu este chiar ceea ce as purta zilnic, acest lucru ma face sa o apreciez si mai mult. Este foarte feminina si stiti deja cat ador o tinuta romantica.

Am profitat de vremea frumoasa pentru a mai purta sandale insa cred ca ar arata foarte bine si cu pereche de botine si o geaca de piele. Ca accesorii, am ales inca o data o pereche de ochelari supradimensionati si un ruj burgund care mi se pare perfect pentru toamna!

Voi ce spuneti? Va place stilul victorian?

[en] Last Fall, designers like Alexander McQueen, Alberta Ferretti, Miu Miu and Chanel got inspired by the dark romance of the Victorian era and delighted us with modern Victorian-inspired garments characterized by delicate ruffles, voluminous sleeves, romantic lace and high-neck collars. While it may seem a bit too much for some, I fell in love with this romantic trend, especially over Spring when everyone was wearing beautiful victorian style blouses and dresses. I remember how I searched for some items to add to my wardrobe but couldn’t find something that I truly liked.

I never gave up on looking for that perfect item and I instantly said yes to this beautiful victorian style dress the moment I saw it. It’s so beautiful and it checks almost all the elements that describe this trend. I find these pieces very feminine and that makes me so happy because you know how I love to wear a romantic outfit. 

I bet this dress would look amazing with a pair of ankle boots but I wanted to take advantage of the good weather and wear a pair of sandals and give the outfit a more elegant feel. 

As for the accessories, I remembered I had this cute little bag that I think looks perfect with the dress, wore another pair of over sized sunglasses ( I can’t help it, I know I look like a fly but I just love them) and a deep burgundy lipstick that I think it’s amazing for Fall.
